Virgin Atlantic Virgin Atlantic has this weekend launched its first flights to and from Scotland. The Glasgow to Orlando service took to the skies at 1.50pm, 23 June 2007. Flights will resume again on a weekly schedule from the 6 October 2007 in time for the Scottish schools’ half term break. The last departure to Orlando will be 13 October 2007. More flights will operate on selected days in April, June, July and October 2008.

The flights will be operated by a 747-400 aircraft with the award winning Upper Class suite, with its reclining leather seat for take off, a place to sit and eat a meal opposite your partner, the longest fully flat bed in the world with a proper mattress and duvet, a private onboard bar to drink at with your friends and four limousines per return trip.
