Mahle moves to larger UK base to meet demand for products

The UK headquarters of MAHLE Aftermarket is moving to a new office and warehouse complex in the West Midlands in preparation for substantial expansion of the company’s business in Great Britain and Ireland.

The 70,262 square feet facility is located on the Springvale Business Park in Bilston, three miles south east of Wolverhampton. The new premises offer improved logistical facilities as well as more storage space for an ever growing range of products.

The warehouse itself is 60 per cent larger than the company’s previous facility at Salisbury in Wiltshire, and the move makes it possible to bring all warehousing and admin resources under one roof to streamline order processing and customer services.

The company name has been changed to MAHLE Aftermarket Ltd to reflect expansion of its aftermarket filtration and engine components business, including the recent launch of valve train products, and the addition of complementary products such as Victor Reinz gaskets to the UK portfolio.

“Our UK aftermarket business is growing at such a rate,” says Phill Everitt, Managing Director of MAHLE Aftermarket Ltd, “that it would not have been long before we outgrew our previous facilities. By planning for the future we can be sure of being in the right position to meet our distributors’ demands and maximise our potential.”
