Auto Windscreens launches made-for-mobile website

With the busy business user at the forefront of its thinking, Auto Windscreens has launched an optimised version of its website specifically for smartphones, including iPhone and Blackberry.

The new site will make booking an automotive glazing repair or replacement job online, locating one of the company’s UK-wide network of fitting centres or contacting Auto Windscreens, even easier for the estimated 20 million smartphone users in the UK.

The fully functional mobile internet site, which was launched on Wednesday 13 May, capitalises on the growing number of visitors to the Auto Windscreens website which was launched in October last year.

Found at, the site automatically detects whether the visitor is using a smartphone and adapts the site content accordingly. Additionally, users accessing the website via a mobile phone will benefit from a location finder, which offers them directions to the nearest fitting centre by automatically detecting their location using their phone.
