What Car? is Watching
What Car? has today launched a new interactive campaign that lets its readers rate car dealers, service centres or repair shops and enable other readers to benefit from their recommendations. What Car? Is Watching kicks off with a free window sticker in this month’s What Car? magazine. Stickers will also be available free from the What Car? stand at next month’s British International Motor Show in London. Readers are encouraged to display the sticker in their windscreens to let garages know their customers will be rating the service they receive.
A section of Whatcar.com has been developed to enable readers to rate their garages online, and to make it easy for people to find highly rated garages in their area.
What Car? will also recognise the garage that receives the highest consumer feedback with a Garage of The Year award, to be presented at the annual ‘car Oscars’, the What Car? Car of The Year Awards.
Steve Fowler, group editor of What Car?, said: ‘There’s a real thirst for reliable information on where you can get good service without paying over the odds – until now, there’s been nowhere you can get that. What Car? Is Watching is a simple way for our readers to get that from people they can trust – What Car? readers who’ve had first hand experience of buying, servicing and repairing their cars.’
The What Car? campaign has received the backing of the Trading Standards Institute. TSI spokesman Peter Stratton said: ‘Consumers sharing information to help identify garage service and repair businesses that give good service seems a very positive way forward. It’s up to consumers to make informed decisions about where to get an honest and professional job done.’
