Expanding services for fleet and leasing

10th June 2009 Print
Mondial Assistance is bringing its bespoke manufacturer services expertise to the UK fleet and leasing sector, specifically focusing on delivering roadside assistance, service maintenance and duty of care solutions. This is especially important on vehicles more than three years old as the recession triggers companies to keep vehicles longer and extend warranty, servicing and maintenance terms.

As part of this programme, Mondial Assistance is also announcing the launch of its partnership with VLOC Systems Limited (vlocsystems.com). VLOC provides an internet enabled telematics solution tailored for motor manufacturers, fleet managers and insurance companies.

The change in the Duty of Care legislation highlighted the need for compliance and responsible attitudes to driver training and safety as well as better informed and equipped fleet managers. Mondial Assistance is therefore widening the scope of its Duty of Care service to deliver expertise to the fleet and leasing sector. Mondial's telematics solution, incorporating a dedicated web portal, will provide fleet managers with real-time access to a range of vehicle and journey data. The product will enable significant improvements in customer service, productivity and incident detection, will help manage the compliance workload and can reduce total operating costs across a number of areas. This will put managers firmly in control by helping them ensure drivers adhere to health and safety guidelines. Comprehensive data also allows managers to monitor driving behaviour and raise awareness among drivers to reduce wear and tear on vehicles and cut down emissions.

Mondial Assistance operates a range of dedicated, fully branded, roadside assistance, warranty and Customer Relationship Management services, including servicing and maintenance schemes. Leading motor manufacturers including BMW, embrace a number of these services which are all designed to enhance the customer ownership experience. As the economy continues to place pressure on the motor marketplace, these services have now been expanded to meet the demands of fleet and leasing customers, which will focus on maintaining the quality of fleets. In addition, Mondial Assistance can deliver high quality recovery and support for drivers out on the road.

“For many years Mondial Assistance has been providing motor manufacturers with bespoke services, designed to enhance customer care, loyalty and retention,” continues Justin Lamba, Mondial’s recently appointed Fleet and Leasing Business Development Manager for Mondial Assistance. Justin Lamba has been seconded to take Mondial Assistance’s services to this new market, applying his expertise in the manufacturer marketplace to the fleet arena. “Our tailor made approach will look after fleet drivers, whilst boost profits.”

Confirming the strength of its outlook over the next 18 months and its position to best serve the fleet and leasing marketplace, Mondial Assistance has achieved A (Excellent) and AA- (Stable) ratings from AM Best and Standard & Poor’s,. The ratings reflect the Group’s consistently high business profile as an international leader in assistance, travel insurance and personal services.
