The key to a dream wedding? A Rolls Royce driven by Brad Pitt!
Your perfect wedding day has arrived with the sun shining, your hair looking stunning, and your dress fitting like a dream, but how are you going to get to the church on time?According to women's car insurance specialist Diamond, given the choice, most women in the UK would opt for class and style by arriving in a classic Rolls Royce.
Diamond asked over 1,500 women about their dream wedding and when it came to the transport a quarter went for the Rolls Royce, while second most popular was an old-fashioned horse and carriage. In third place was an adrenaline fuelling Aston Martin.
Some of the more unusual choices include a fire engine, a New York yellow taxi, the Back to the Future DeLorean and a donkey and cart. And while nearly half of women would prefer their dream wedding vehicle to be white, a gothic one in five crave their transport to be black.
But who would women like to get them to the church on time? Well it seems brides want a last bit of eye candy before taking the plunge as they chose Brad Pitt as their number one dream chauffeur followed by George Clooney. However, in third place was someone known more for their driving ability than good looks; Top Gear's tame racing driver, The Stig.
Diamond managing director, Sian Lewis, commented, "You want every part of your wedding day to be wonderful and of course you want to make a grand entrance. So it seems like a classic white Rolls Royce driven by Brad Pitt is the way to arrive in style."
But it's not just about the bride on the day as almost three quarters of women said they thought their partner should have a dream vehicle too with Aston Martin and Ferrari the top choices.
Sian continued, "It's nice to see that, even though it's mainly about them, brides are thinking of their partners as well. However, it's really interesting to see that the credit crunch could be having an impact too, as one in ten women would consider using public transport to get to the church. Although probably not on time!"
