Ol Seki unveils new suites and VIP safari experience

In August 2009, Ol Seki, a stylish and contemporary Mara camp in Kenya, will reveal two new exclusive suites that will offer its guests the ultimate VIP safari experience.

Perfect for groups of friends, honeymooners or families wanting the ultimate in safari camp luxury the new suites will give guests complete privacy, personal service and space. The ‘Ol Seki Suites’ house its own staff with private kitchen, entrance, game vehicle, dining area and expansive game viewing deck.

Located within the immediate vicinity of Ol Seki Camp, the suites are made up of three spacious tents uniquely designed and inter-joined by a communal living and dining area. It contains two double or twin rooms both en-suite with their own large bathroom and decking area soon to be equipped with plunge pools. The amazing 180 degree views across the Mara makes guests feel like they are totally immersed in the African scene, complemented by the stylish décor. The tents are exquisitely designed using true Kenyan art and artefacts of international standards, yet also supporting local workers and families.

Guests of the suites will benefit from a team of staff who will look after their every need to ensure they have a memorable and exclusive safari experience. The staff will be on hand to provide guests with private game drives as and when required, sumptuous food, refreshing drinks and sensual massages in the privacy of their suite with the wildlife and game all around.

The new suites are also part of a huge refurbishment at Ol Seki. The re-vamp includes new canvases on all the six accommodation tents as well as the spa and library tents, and a brand new kitchen. First for this year, they have introduced a raised viewing deck complete with open campfire and comfy seating, perfect for game watching under the stars and listening to the sounds of the bush.

Situated north-east of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Ol Seki provides ‘big five’ game viewing in a pristine setting, away from the tourists. The camp is ideally located in a wildlife conservancy so guests also have the freedom to take part in a variety of different safari experiences, from bush picnics to sundowners, night game drives to stunning walks across the plains.

Guests at Ol Seki also have the rare opportunity of visiting the local primary school and Koiyaki Guiding School where they can meet the headmaster and students and even experience a lesson. Here they can learn about the importance of wildlife and tourism to the locals and in turn feel closer to the Maasai community. As a member of the Ecotourism Society, Ol Seki has strived to maintain responsible and sustainable tourism that directly benefits the local community, for which they have been awarded a Silver Environmental Society Award.
