Hertz hits its 13th ace with Wimbledon Championships

For the13th consecutive year, Hertz will be the official transport provider to The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships, delivering tennis stars to meet their fate in front of tennis fans across the world.

The Official Supplier Association will see over 300 specially trained drivers use a fleet of 50 Ford Mondeos, 100 top of the range Ford Galaxys and 30 Ford Transit mini buses. The drivers are expected to cover a total of over 200,000 miles during Wimbledon fortnight, which begins on 25 th June 2007, ferrying players and officials alike to and from Wimbledon.

Bill Jones, vice president of sales and marketing at Hertz, said: “The Wimbledon association is hugely important to Hertz and a fantastic association for our brand. The Championship has continued to fit well with our brand values, which is why we have continued the relationship over so many years.”
