National’s Drive Safe initiative goes from strength to strength

National Car Rental has announced the addition of even more information on driving abroad to its unique international online road safety website, Drive Safe. The site provides hints and tips on driving in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the USA and Canada and is still the most comprehensive resource of its kind available to travellers.

As a worldwide organisation, National has access to extensive local knowledge and expertise through its international network. This knowledge has been drawn on to develop Drive Safe. The recent update to the site has seen Bulgaria, Lithuania and Jordan added to the already extensive list of more than 45 countries now on Drive Safe. Content across the site has also been updated and additional information added to the existing country data.

Following the launch of the exciting new partnership between National and the British Airways Executive Club in December last year, Drive Safe can also now be accessed through the nationalba.com website, bringing it straight to the attention of those customers flying abroad and hiring a car at their destination.

Drive Safe has been designed specifically for those people renting a car abroad, as this experience can be quite different to driving their own vehicle at home. The rules and regulations as well as the behaviour of local drivers and road conditions in other countries can often catch out foreign motorists. Nationaldrivesafe.co.uk addresses these concerns by providing information instantly online, on driving regulations and requirements, advice on motoring laws such as speed limits, alcohol limits and road tolls.

There are also guidelines on city driving, country driving, road rules and road safety initiatives in each country. And, as a truly multi-national driving tool, Drive Safe is available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
