Budget joins Carrentals.co.uk

Budget is the latest car hire supplier to be featured on price comparator website Carrentals.co.uk, taking the total number of car rental sites compared to 46.

Since becoming a price comparison site in February 2007 the company has seen a three-fold increase in bookings and a growing number of rental companies featured on the site, including Opodo, ebookers, Holiday Autos and their own Carrentals.co.uk hire service.

New addition Budget Rent a Car is one of the top three global car rental companies, offering cars, trucks and vans in over 2,700 locations in 115 countries, strengthening the Carrentals.co.uk offering further.

Carrentals.co.uk marketing director Gareth Robinson commented: “The switch to a comparator site is benefiting both customers and suppliers. With the addition of Budget our customers now have the widest choice of any car hire comparison service with over 45 companies featured, while suppliers benefit from the fairer CPA model, rather than the pay per click model used by others.

Visitors to the Carrentals.co.uk site can search by car type in over 4,000 locations around the World, with search results shown in price order, together with details of the rental company. They can then go straight to the supplier’s site, which retains the rental location and dates, and read more about the hire options and conditions.

Since its launch in 2003 Carrentals.co.uk has grown to become one of the leading online car hire websites. In 2006, it booked its 100,000th customer and turnover reached £8million.
