Europcar launches unique airside service

Europcar has launched a unique Airside initiative, providing a new fast track vehicle rental service for customers travelling from Gatwick and Edinburgh into many of the key UK airports. As the only car rental provider airside at both airports, Europcar will be able to process reservations for travellers before they even board the plane to their destination.

Following a successful pilot scheme, Airside offers Europcar customers a unique pre-qualification, fast track service. Once the reservation has been made at the departure airport, the renting location will be contacted to confirm the customer’s requirements and verify pre-qualification, ensuring a seamless service at the destination airport. Customers with a pre-filled rental agreement can go straight to the Europcar location and collect their vehicle to continue their journey without delay.

“We are delighted to be able to offer Europcar customers this unique service, taking the hassle out of car rental,” explains David Alexander, Operations Director, Europcar. “Now customers can check in for their car rental before they board the plane, safe in the knowledge that the rental agreement will be pre-printed and the vehicle will be allocated before they even take off. When they arrive at their destination, they just sign the paperwork and drive away.
