JapShow lives up to expectations

Turbo Dynamics (TD), who sponsor the Santa Pod dragstrip, were present among the thousands. Natasha Miller, Turbo Dynamics Marketing Manager, said “The JapShow had the largest turnout out of all the events we’ve attended at Santa Pod! It was fantastic to see.
“We attended with TD goodie bags, which went like hot cakes, and our TD girls - Louisa and Hayley - proved very popular with the crowds; being asked to pose for photographs throughout the day.”
Hayley aka ‘Heavenly Hayley’ also proved a big hit at the afternoon Stunt Show where none other than record-breaker Terry Grant span a car around her and some other girls, only a few inches away from their feet. Following the performance Grant and the girls received a big cheer from the grandstand.
Grant also precariously drove a car on two-wheels for several metres, despite having three girls inside and a man in the boot! A few gasps went up from the crowd as the car teetered, but the professional that he is, Grant pulled it off to another big round-of-applause. Having witnessed Grant pushing the boundaries of physics to their limits, one spectator commented “It doesn’t get any closer than that!”
The JapShow also proved popular with competitors from the Turbo Dynamics-sponsored Time Attack Series. Competitors in the series get turbos, parts, performance accessories and turbo services/upgrades at special Time Attack prices when they use TD.
It isn’t hard to see what draws the crowds year after year with so much going on at the JapShow: the HKS Drag Series, Run What Ya Brung competitions, drifting demos, Show & Shine competitions, a mobile dyno and runs from the Fireforce Jet Car. - There truly is something for everyone. For those who want to make a full weekend of it there is also a Santa Pod Raceway campsite and Fun Fair.
Turbo Dynamics will be back at Santa Pod with the TD Girls on Sunday, 2nd August for yet another big event: Ultimate Street Car.
