PHM launches Activ8

29th June 2009 Print
PHM Group, the London-based channel development consultancy, has launched Activ8, a revolutionary BlackBerry-based sales aid. Using real-time mobile communication, Activ8 is designed to motivate, increase transparency, and facilitate sales for field based automotive parts representatives.

The launch of Activ8 by PHM follows a successful four-month pilot, during which users of the new technology saw an average growth in parts sales of 5% and a 15% increase in customer visits. Vauxhall franchise dealers, who took part in the comprehensive trial, will be amongst the first to adopt the new Activ8 system throughout their local networks in the UK.

Activ8 can be used on any handheld BlackBerry device, and gives field-based staff the ability to access live and accurate information which includes the latest parts prices, product updates, and historical data, in order to be fully prepared and maximise sales opportunities when with the customer.

With no need for costly and time consuming reporting and paperwork, parts representatives can instantly communicate to dealers key information on customer sales generated, visits undertaken, potential leads, and competitor offerings. Any data fed back from the field can be viewed on the Activ8 online management portal, where dealers, in turn, can assess staff performance, and react to the market without delay, as well as being able to distribute vital product and sales promotion updates at the touch of a button.

Commenting on the unveiling of Activ8, Peter Hookham-Miller, Managing Director and Founder of PHM Group Limited, explains: “This unique sales and motivational aid provides a simple and cost-effective means of communicating clear messages between all parties in the parts sales network. An immediate understanding of staff activities and the marketplace allows for more effective decision making, and with less time spent on reporting and deciphering ‘Chinese whispers’, both sales opportunities and the return on investment are therefore maximised.”

Activ8 costs £87 per month per user which includes the BlackBerry handset, Activ8 applications, online management reporting portal, and competitive voice package plus an initial connection fee.
