Used company cars available to pre-order

10th July 2009 Print
Autoquake.com the UK online direct to consumer remarketing company, announced the general availability of its new pre-order service which remarkets fleet cars to retail customers before they come off-fleet.

Fleet and leasing companies seek to sell cars as fast as possible and at the optimal prices. With its new pre-order service Autoquake.com uses the internet and its e-commerce platform to market fleet cars directly to consumers before the cars come off-fleet. Finding a buyer for the cars before they de-fleet results in substantially reduced days to sale compared to normal auction and trade based disposal routes and because the buyers are consumers, they pay retail prices for the car. The result is a new channel to market that provides fleet and leasing companies with higher returns and lower days to sale than traditional disposal routes.

Key to making the service work is the Autoquake.com e-commerce platform and high traffic website. The Autoquake.com website has over 300,000 unique visitors per month. This ensures that there is more than sufficient demand from customers to pre-order the cars.

An initial trial of the service has proven very successful with significant numbers of the cars put up for sale being ordered every day. In targeting “key for key” exchanges, there is sufficient lead time to effectively market the car to the retail consumer and the certainty of when the car can be delivered to the buyer.

“Autoquake.com’s pre-order service allows fleets to sell their cars at retail prices with substantially reduced days to sale. We believe this is a very strong proposition that few leasing companies and fleets can afford not to take advantage of,” says Autoquake.com CEO Garry Hobson.
