What links a re-formed boy band with a Number 1 hit, a BAFTA-winning kids’ TV puppet series, and Clint Eastwood?

All three feature Iceland: Take That’s comeback single Patience, enjoying another week at the top of the UK Singles Chart, was shot at various remote rugged Icelandic locations; LazyTown is filmed in Reykjavik and stars a former Icelandic athletics champion; while Clint Eastwood’s war drama, Flags of Our Fathers – released nationwide 22nd December – used the volcanic black beaches of southern Iceland as a location for key scenes.

Icelandair Holidays (icelandair.co.uk) offers a great ‘three for two’ deal from £219pp – stay three nights B&B at three star Hotel Cabin, and only pay for a two night stay.
