Aer Lingus announces new route from Belfast to Paris

13th February 2008 Print
Aer Lingus Group plc today announced a new service from Belfast International to Paris, Charles de Gaulle beginning 30 March. The new service will operate on a daily basis with fares as low as £25 one-way including taxes and charges.

Bookings can be made from tomorrow through the airline's website Aerlingus.com.

Aer Lingus CEO, Dermot Mannion commented, "Our market research has shown strong demand for Paris, Charles de Gaulle while Northern Ireland is increasingly popular with French visitors. We are delighted to be able to capitalise on this demand by launching Aer Lingus' low-cost, superior service offering on this route."

In order to facilitate the new route to Paris, Aer Lingus is redeploying one of the twice-daily flights from its Belfast Amsterdam service. This deployment will give customers additional choice while optimising the fleet use in Belfast. Aer Lingus will continue to operate one service daily to Amsterdam.

The Paris service marks the tenth route launched from Belfast since December 10 when Aer Lingus began flying from its new base in Belfast to Amsterdam, Barcelona and Geneva.

On 25 February, routes will be launched to Rome, Budapest, Malaga and Faro and on April 1, Nice will take off marking the complete network to ten destinations.
