BCA supports The Christie

The staff of BCA Preston and BCA Belle Vue Manchester nominated the Christie charity as the beneficiary of funds raised during special anniversary events marking 25 years at Preston and 20 years at Belle Vue.
BCA auctioned a number of donated items including a micro light flight, Warrington Wolves Rugby Club match tickets, a flat screen TV and a mountain bike with all the proceeds going to The Christie. BCA staff also arranged raffles, sale day collections, an auto jumble and a sporting memorabilia auction, while a number of major customers donated money for each vehicle they sold at BCA during the fund-raising period.
In total, BCA Preston raised nearly £1,400 and BCA Belle Vue’s Car and Commercial centres jointly generated in excess of £6,000. Christie’s corporate partnerships officer Emma Kennedy was delighted to attend Belle Vue earlier this month to receive a cheque for the grand total of £7,414.
“We are celebrating significant anniversaries at two of our North-West centres this year”, confirmed BCA General Manager, Nigel Everett “and we were really keen to give something back to the local communities that have supported us so well over the years. The staff at both BCA Preston and Belle Vue nominated The Christie as their chosen charity. The Christie does fantastic work, both in support of those suffering from cancer and their families and in pioneering and groundbreaking research to tackle the disease.”
“We are very pleased that BCA has chosen to support the Christie with such a substantial donation,” confirmed Emma Kennedy. “It is always rewarding to see local businesses getting involved in our activities.”
