Aer Lingus confirms new Shannon to Heathrow flight

Aer Lingus has confirmed a third scheduled daily flight between Shannon and London Heathrow commencing 25th October 2009.

The new mid-day flight from Shannon will compliment the existing twice-daily morning and evening services, giving customer's greater choice and flexibility.

The addition of this third flight brings the number of weekly round trips between Ireland and London Heathrow to 158.

Aer Lingus Corporate Affairs Director, Enda Corneille said he was delighted to announce the additional service, "The increased frequency will connect Shannon and London Heathrow three times daily, which will further strengthen business, leisure and connecting traffic between the West of Ireland and Europe's largest International Airport. This development reflects the growth and strong traffic volumes that we have seen since the resumption of the service last March. We are very encouraged with customer demand for our low fares high quality service."

Bookings can be made from Thursday, 23rd July on aerlingus.com. Fares start from €9.99 one-way including taxes and charges.
