Meguiar’s confirms first entries for 2009 Club Showcase

The 2009 Meguiar’s Club Showcase, a major feature throughout the duration of the NEC Classic Motor Show from 13-15 November 2009, will once again offer classic car enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the crème de la crème of vehicles from the UK club scene, and will feature 16 entries from a selection of marques. The array of vehicles will have all been awarded top honours at their respective marque national shows, which have been supported by Meguiar’s throughout the year.

Eight amazing entries have already been confirmed for this year’s show. VolksWorld’s ‘Best in Show’ VW Camper Pick Up; Jensen International’s ‘President’s Cup’ winning Jensen 541 S; Mercedes-Benz’s ‘Master Class Winner’ 200E Saloon; GTI International’s ‘Best in Show’ MK1; The Ferrari Concours ‘Car of the Day’ Ferrari 275 GTB/4; The Renault World Series ‘Best Post 1979 Sports Car’ winning Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider; The JEC 25th Anniversary ‘Car of the Day’ Jaguar XJS; and the Daimler and Lanchester Owners Club ‘Best Car before 1945’ Daimler Tourer.

The final day of the Meguiar’s Club Showcase will see an independent judging team tasked with the challenge of selecting the Meguiar’s “Best In Show” to succeed the 2008 winner, Mark Wynn-Smith’s flawless 1999 Rover Mini 40 LE finished in Old English White with Prussian Blue leather interior.
