Organiser Live Promotions has announced that Race Retro, the international historic motorsport show, will be held from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th March 2010, returning to Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. After its extremely successful first year as owners, with attendance increasing to 24,500 visitors, Live is well ahead with its plans for 2010 and is offering exhibitors more exclusive networking and new sponsorship opportunities.

The organisers have chosen the Alfa Romeo as the 2010 chosen marquee as the Italian manufacturer celebrates its centenary year and have already attracted specialist suppliers such as Alfa experts Alfaholics, and specialist engineering companies Titan Motorsport & Automotive Engineering Ltd and REM Surface Engineering.

As part of the Alfa Romeo celebrations, club members and owners will be invited to bring their Alfas into Hall 4 to create a tribute area and receive a discounted ticket as a reward for getting involved in the event. Organisers are also looking into offering visitors VIP tickets with access to the 2010 celebrities.

The remaining halls will follow a similar layout to previous years including the popular Speed Street in Hall 2 and other manufacturers featured will be a tribute to Peugeot’s rallying career and for those who prefer two-wheels, a celebration of Norton motorcycles with manufacturer Norton already signed up to attend.

These features give companies the opportunity to look at increased brand awareness through sponsorship ranging from high profile packages such as Title Sponsor and Rally Stage, to popular areas such as the Presentation stage, Retro Race Cafe and Fire Engine bar. Already on board is Greenwood Motorsport as one of the show’s Event Partners. Greenwoods specialise in the preparation and running of both historic Race and Rally Cars, catering for all types of historic vehicle offering the complete package, from servicing to full restoration.

And following its return to Race Retro in 2009, the H&H Classic and Historic Motorsport Auction will once again be a part of the show having recorded over £990,000 worth of sales.

There will also be an exclusive networking event for all exhibitors and show partners on the Friday evening of the show, allowing race series organisers and vehicle manufacturers to make new contacts with engineering companies and the other traders as well as discussing the prosperous future of the historic and retro motorsport movement.
