Upturn in luxury car sales expected

6th August 2009 Print
A host of luxury car manufacturers have signalled an expected boost in sales, as they support the worlds only chauffeur drive event.

Despite a number of popular motor shows in the UK being cancelled, due to the decline in car sales, Drive ’09 is delighted to be one of the only events in the country able to play host to an array of brand-new luxury models.

It has been announced Jaguar UK will be presenting its all-new XJ model at the event which last year saw almost 2,500 professional drivers attend. Also, Porsche will be unveiling its first ever four-door model, the Panamera, to chauffeurs whose clients demand something a little different.

Other vehicles which are debuting to the industry at the event are the all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class and facelift S-Class, whilst BMW will be showcasing its stunning 530 Gran Turismo and new 7-Series models.

The event will be taking place at the Transport Research Laboratory in Wokingham, Berkshire on the 26th and 27th September 2009. Professional Drivers from the taxi, private hire and chauffeur industries will get the chance to network, drive the latest luxury cars as well as take part in an exclusive seminar programme.

Visitors to the event can also see the latest stretched limousines from a number of American and UK based manufacturers, as well as witnessing trade stands ranging from the latest products to insurance and finance companies.

Top class seminars are also offered to those either looking to enter the professional driving scene or those already working within it. Experts will be on hand to discuss topics such as better working practises, green issues, laws and licensing and responsibilities as an employer.

Free registration to the show is being offered via its dedicated website at drive09.co.uk. Visitors can also be in with the chance of winning £500 of free fuel when they attend, or even win an exclusive BMW racing day worth £1,500.
