You won't have to cry on a motorway hard shoulder this Bank Holiday if you get your car checked before you set out.

Steph Savill, founder of FOXY Lady Drivers Club, recommends that women drivers book a 20 minute car fitness check as part of their August Bank Holiday preparations, to minimise the risk of their car letting them down during this end of summer weekend break.

Adding a 20 minute car check to our pre-holiday plans, carried out by local female friendly garage professionals, can minimise the chances of our car letting us down and causing untold stress because this wasn't the perfect weekend we dreamed of. “

A typical car check carried out by garage professionals could include tyres, lights, brake fluid, oils & coolant levels, the air conditioning system and vehicle CO2 emissions.
