Garonga Safari Camp – safari for the soul

Garonga Safari Camp has announced the opening of 'Little Garonga' on 10 December 2007. The current Hambleden Suite is being extended to offer an additional two new suites, linked by pathways, namely the Buckingham and Chiltern Suites. The two suites are ideal, when booked together, for a family - or all 3 suites can be combined to create a private lodge that is ideal for larger families or friends to hire out for exclusive use.

Little Garonga comes complete with own guide and vehicle, chef and host. Little Garonga will accept children from age 6 rather than age 8, which is the minimum age for the main camp. Little Garonga, when hired out for exclusive use can sleep 6 adults plus 2 children in the Chiltern Suite.

Please note that The Hambleden Suite will be closed from 15th October 07 until the launch of Little Garonga, whilst the extensions are done.

Charter Flights

Effective from 01st August, Garonga will have its own Aircraft (a 5-seater Piper Seneca – Twin Engine). This will be called the “Garonga Air Charter”. The cost from Rand Airport – Garonga – Rand Airport will be R 4970.00 for the aircraft. This equates to about GBP 85.00/ person each way based on 2 passengers – an amazing rate! There is no extra charge for the Pilot to stay over up to 6 nights.
