Olympic adds Malta to weddings offer

10th June 2009 Print

As many more couples choose to marry abroad – saving on the high cost of a UK wedding – Olympic Holidays has launched its biggest ever dedicated weddings and honeymoons programme, expanding its product range in Greece and Cyprus and introducing another short haul destination, Malta, with a selection of four- and five-star hotels.

Other Maltese wedding venues include Valletta Registry Office; the 19th-century Palazzo Parisio; the Selmun Palace fortress; and Villa Arrigo, recommended for larger wedding parties.

The new 96-page 2010 brochure is additionally aimed at the growing number of couples choosing to renew their marriage vows.

Olympic can arrange a religious renewal of marriage vows or a blessing ceremony by an Anglican minister in Cyprus, or a civil renewal of vows on the Greek island of Rhodes.

Newly added Cyprus wedding hotels include the Riu Cypria Resort, Laura Beach and Louis Imperial Beach Club, all in the popular resort of Paphos.

Meanwhile for those couples looking for an indulgent spa experience – either before or after the wedding – the Valens Wellness Centre in Nicosia, features for the first time, offering a wedding package of spa treatments for two by leading Swiss brand After The Rain, priced at £140.

Olympic now features 35 Cyprus hotels hosting wedding ceremonies, of which 17 have their own chapel. Other wedding venues in Cyprus include churches, chapels and town halls.

In Greece, Olympic introduces three wedding hotels — the Atrium Prestige Thalasso Spa Resort & Villas in Rhodes, the Minos Palace in Crete and Apostolata Elios Island Resort & Spa in Kefalonia.

In addition, civil ceremonies are offered on the Greek islands of Rhodes, Crete, Corfu, Zante, Kefalonia, Santorini, Skiathos, Kos and Mykonos, plus mainland Halkidiki.
