For example, head to the Spanish resort of Benidorm and enjoy a three-night break from just £199 inclusive of return UK flights to Alicante and accommodation at the two-star Camposol Hotel which is situated on the edge of the Old Town area and just 250m from the sandy Poniente beach.

Or on the Algarve, a three-night stay at the three-star Santa Maria Hotel – centrally located in Faro and close to the historical villa of Sé – costs from £219 inclusive of return UK flights to Faro.

Alternatively, three nights at the four-star Las Palmeras Hotel – located next to the beach in the centre of Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol – costs from £229 inclusive of return UK flights to Malaga.
