DVLA personalised registration PL8S go mobile

DVLA Personalised Registrations has launched a mobile phone web search service to give Britain’s mobile phone owners access to their telesales database of over 23 million numbers.

The new mobile phone web service comes in two forms, each with its own web address. For older and more basic mobile phones there is a WAP based search facility available at ‘wap.dvlapl8.com’. Owners of more powerful mobiles supporting advanced web access can use ‘pda.dvlapl8.com’. Both services give access to the full DVLA Personalised Registrations search facility with the PDA service offering information in full colour graphics.

Louise Pierpoint, DVLA Personalised Registrations publicity manager, said: “We are in the middle of a communications revolution with people increasingly using their mobile phones to access information through the web. Our intuitive search engine is highly regarded and much of its functionality is now available to mobile phone users. Once you have found a registration you like it is just one simple phone call to make the purchase.”

DVLA Personalised Registrations is exhibiting at the British International Motor Show at ExCeL in London’s Docklands. They can be found at stand N24B in the North Hall.
