1 in 10 LCV’s sold in September were Citroen
One in ten of all LCV’s sold during the month of September were Citroen vans. With 9.74% share of the LCV market, the Company has delivered one of its best-ever September results. In a challenging market (down 22.19%), Citroen successfully bucked the trend, virtually matching its September 2008 LCV sales volume - finishing down just 0.31% in the month year on year (9 registrations).
Robert Handyside, Citroen’s commercial vehicles operations manager, commented, “The September sales figures demonstrate that Citroen’s overall LCV package is ultra-competitive in today’s van market. Citroen has the UK’s most modern LCV range - with its associated fuel efficiency and emissions benefits - which puts the Company in an extremely strong position. With the extension of the Government’s ‘Scrappage’ programme, and new LCV developments in the pipeline, Citroen intends to build upon its September sales success.”
