Jeremy Clarkson crowned Plain Speaking Personality 2009
After years of calling a spade a spade, Jeremy Clarkson has finally been recognised for his efforts for saying it like it is, by being crowned the Plain Speaking Personality 2009.Voted for by members of the public, Clarkson came top of a poll of ten celebrities*, who all share a reputation for ‘plain speaking’ and who included Chris Moyles, Vanessa Feltz, Adrian Chiles, Nicky Campbell, Simon Cowell, John Humphrys, Sharon Osbourne, Jeremy Paxman and Anne Robinson.
Three Barrels Brandy launched the Plain Speaking Personality Awards as part of the Three Barrels Plain Speaking Campaign, which aims to demystify the world of brandy. The public were invited to visit three-barrels.com to vote for who they thought the winner should be.
In second place was Simon Cowell, closely followed by Sharon Osbourne and Jeremy Paxman as joint third, but it will be motor mouth Clarkson who will receive a personalised bottle of 15-year-old Three Barrels XO.
