A new home with all the trimmings for Murton couple

A new home with all the trimmings for Murton couple A spacious, new build home was on the shopping list for Kirsty and Andrew Smoughton when they put their renovated Houghton-le-Spring home up for sale – and a spacious, new build, show home was what they got!

The Smoughton’s found their perfect home at George Wimpey North Yorkshire’s Fairfield Park development in Murton. They were even able to take the flowers from the garden of their new home and donate them to the school where Kirsty works as a teacher – Mill Hill Primary School in Sunderland.

Kirsty says: “We really wanted to move to a bigger house to think about starting a family, and new build was top priority having renovated our previous home.

“It was an absolute dream to move into the Kendal show home. Although we weren’t specifically looking to buy a show home, it really did sell itself from the minute we saw it. It was really handy to be able to move into this particular home as it meant that there was a lot less to think about. Plus it was really beautiful to look at – very cleanly done.”

With a lot to think about when moving house, Kirsty and Andrew enjoyed not having to think about some of the extras which come with buying a new home, such as purchasing appliances, lighting, flooring and an alarm.

Kirsty adds: “I also discussed with the sales executives at Fairfield Park what would happen with the flowers from the show home garden, since they would have to be moved to lay the driveway. I mentioned that we are busy doing my school up and they were more than happy to donate them to the school to bring a bit of colour to the place.”

David Bentham, sales executive at Fairfield Park, said: “It’s great when a customer instantly loves one of our homes, and that’s what happened with Kirsty and Andrew. We were delighted to donate the flowers to the school to help brighten it up. I wish Kirsty and Andrew many happy years in their new home.”

Situated close to the coast and Seaham Harbour, Fairfield Park is surrounded by beautiful countryside. A wealth of leisure and shopping facilities are on hand nearby including Dalton Park shopping mall, while Murton itself is home to a range of amenities including a dentist and doctors’ surgery, banks, food shops and schools, all within a short walk of the development.

For more information about Fairfield Park, call into the sales information centre on Church Street which is open five days a week Thursday to Monday between 10am and 5.30pm. Further details can also be found on georgewimpey.co.uk.
