Redrow adds to New Homes Week in Hambleton

Redrow adds to New Homes Week in Hambleton New Homes Week may be coming to an end but award-winning Redrow is continuing the message by calculating why buying a brand new home equals better value and financial savings than an older property.

Run by the New Homes Marketing Board, New Homes Week (Sept 12-20) was designed to highlight all the benefits that come with owning a brand new property, such as energy efficiency, no expensive renovation costs and easy maintenance.

Meanwhile Redrow has taken the theme a step further and calculated that the cost of bringing an older second hand property up to the same standard as a new Redrow home could be as much as £30,000*, not to mention the huge outlay of time and energy involved.

By contrast, in the homes at Mulberry Grange, in Hambleton, everything has already been done to a very high standard, with an up to date specification and highly polished finish that is easy to maintain and keep clean. The new homes also carry the added reassurance of a two-year guarantee for any fitted appliances and the National Home-Building Council (NHBC) 10-year ‘Buildmark’ warranty.

Previous research has shown that a brand new home is also up to 40% more efficient than one built at the beginning of the decade, which should also mean lower fuel bills.

And, with recent reports showing consecutive month on month upturns in house prices, now could be just the right time to buy at Mulberry Grange, which currently has a selection of properties available.

Patsy Aicken, sales manager for Redrow, said: “There are so many overriding benefits to owning a brand new home compared to a second hand property and the national New Homes Week campaign highlighted this perfectly.

“Mulberry Grange is a development that ticks all of the boxes when it comes to quality, location and price, but buyers don’t have to just take my word for it they can come down to the development and see for themselves.”

A recent survey by Nationwide found that house prices rose for the fourth consecutive month in August, by 1.6%** indicating that the window of opportunity to pick up the best buys in popular areas could be closing.

Mulberry Grange, situated on Station Road, is a development of two, three and four-bedroom properties in the stunning location that is Hambleton; a village surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to the historic market town of Selby.

The village is also home to a general store, three pubs, a primary school and a village hall, while Selby has a full range of local amenities and a train station. York and Leeds are also both easily reached.

Current prices are from £159,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached property to £212,500 for a four-bedroom semi-detached home.

Part-exchange is available on selected properties, enabling buyers to move quickly and easily without the worry of being stuck in a housing chain. Subject to criteria, Redrow effectively acts as a cash buyer for the customer’s existing property.
