Persimmon assists house hunters with no deposit

Persimmon Homes is supporting the Government-led 70 per cent shared equity scheme at its Avon Mews development and has therefore organised the day taking place on 10th October from 10am to 5pm to help first time buyers and those earning a household income of less than £60,000 to purchase one of the company’s new properties.
Due to the expected popularity of the event, Persimmon requests interested parties book their appointment with the sales advisers at the marketing suite to avoid disappointment.
Through the initiative, purchasers will be required to raise funding for 70 per cent of the purchase price including a mortgage plus, but are not requested to raise a deposit for their new home. The remaining 30 per cent is made up by an equity loan which is co-funded by the Government and Persimmon Homes.
Alison Reading, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Midlands states: “With so many differing shared equity initiatives now available, househunters are forgiven for being a little cautious and unsure as to what buying through shared equity means.
“It’s for this reason that we’re hosting our weekend – to dispel rumours, answer any questions and help those who initially thought they couldn’t afford to buy, to find a home to suit their needs and budget.”
On the day Persimmon’s expert sales advisers, a financial adviser and a HomeBuy Direct agent will be on hand to assist interested parties with their enquiries.
Persimmon is catering for a range of purchaser’s requirements at the HomeBuy Direct event as across the company’s highly acclaimed site the homebuilder is offering two, three and four bedroom homes with prices starting from just £114,065 for a three bedroom design.
Alison concludes: “I’d recommend interested parties get in touch with us about our HomeBuy Direct day to find out how we can support them move onto or up the property ladder without a deposit required.”
Avon Mews is an exclusive scheme comprising 26 units, which include a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom properties that are ideal for all purchasers, from first time buyers and young couples to those downsizing and large families. All of Persimmon’s homes are designed sympathetically to complement the surrounding area, successfully combining traditional character with contemporary design.
The development is located one mile from the historic market town of Rugby, which is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, ideal for nature lovers. The town is well serviced by a number of amenities, providing good shopping and leisure opportunities and highly regarded educational establishments.
Avon Mews offers fantastic commuter links and is within two minutes of the M6 network and has easy access to the M1 motorway, meaning the homes are perfect for those who work in one of the nearby cities, but want to live away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
