Final countdown begins at St Peters development

27th October 2009 Print
Final countdown begins at St Peters development Time is running out for househunters in Rugby with properties selling quickly at Miller Homes St Peters development.

Situated on St Peters Road, just minutes from a wide selection of shops and leisure facilities; the development has always been a hot choice but is proving even more popular as buyers have been taking advantage of the new Government backed shared equity scheme, HomeBuy Direct.

Linda Androlia, regional sales director for Miller Homes, said: “HomeBuy Direct has been a huge success at St Peters and we see no reason why this will change.

“However househunters must be quick as we have limited properties available on the scheme. With only 20% of our allocation remaining, they won’t last forever - purchasers only have until 24th December to reserve a property using the initiative.”

Under the scheme, buyers have the opportunity to purchase 100 percent of their home by paying from just 70 percent of the value, with Miller Homes and the Government co-funding the remaining 30 percent.

The 30 percent equity loan only becomes repayable after 25 years or when the customer sells their home, and because the scheme is government backed, buyers can feel completely secure in their investment.

Linda continued: “A real plus is that there is no interest payable on the equity loan for the first five years. The new owner can move in and relax in their home without having to immediately worry about repayments.

“Of course, the success at St Peters is down to more than just a great offer – it’s a fantastic development too.

“This is evident by the fact that whilst the media talk of challenging times within the housing industry, we’ve actually released another five apartments at the scheme to meet the continued demand.”

St Peters strikes the right balance between an urban base and a quiet retreat with the open spaces and varied landscapes nearby including Draycote Water and Country Park, with its wetlands and nature trails, watersports and fishing facilities not to mention its close proximity to the rolling hills of Warwickshire. It also offers an excellent base for Coventry, Birmingham and Northampton commuters providing fast access to the M1 and M6.

The development offers a selection of one and two bedroom apartments and three and four bedroom houses. A two bedroom ground floor apartment is available from £109,950 or with HomeBuy Direct, from only £76,965. Prices for three bedroom houses start at £155,950, or with HomeBuy Direct £109,165.
