Blackburn husband and wife, Ebrahim and Rabia Esat, had more than one reason to celebrate when they completed the purchase of their new home.

Not only did they complete on the date of their 42nd wedding anniversary, they also became the first people to move into George Wimpey Manchester’s hotly anticipated development at The Orchard on Laburnum Road.

“We have been interested in The Orchard since George Wimpey first announced its plans for the development,” said Mr Esat. “We are delighted to be the first new homeowners to move in.”

The couple have relocated from the Feniscowles area of the town and used George Wimpey’s part exchange scheme to help buy a brand new Alder housetype at The Orchard.

The Alder is stunning five bedroom home, spread over three storeys. As well as the five bedrooms, Alder housetypes features a separate lounge, open plan kitchen with dining area, ensuite to the master bedroom and a family bathroom. Each home comes complete with allocated parking space and private garden.

“The George Wimpey team were really helpful to us throughout the process and the part exchange scheme offered by the company was ideal for us,” continued Mr Esat. “I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the development to anyone looking for a new home in the Blackburn area.”

Chloe Dunn, field sales manager for George Wimpey Manchester, added: “Often, the most stressful aspect of buying a new home is selling your current property. With part-exchange you don’t have to worry about selling your house because we will buy it from you. The scheme provides you with a guaranteed buyer, a hassle free move and it removes the financial burden of estate agents’ fees.”

Mr and Mrs Esat were particularly keen on moving to The Orchard as they have lots of friends and family in the area and there were no shortage of people to welcoming Mr and Mrs Esat when they took possession of the keys to their new home.

Over thirty people were there on the day to help them move in – and to help celebrate the couple’s wedding anniversary too, of course!

A fantastic range of properties, quiet residential surroundings and close proximity to Blackburn town centre makes The Orchard a highly appealing proposition for housebuyers. The development’s location in Little Harwood provides the perfect location for families, young couples and professionals alike.
