BGL Group launches replacement car/van cover

The BGL Group has announced the launch of a new service for customers of its in-house brands, including BUDGET, ibuyeco, Quotemart and Dial Direct.

From November 18, customers will be able to purchase Guaranteed Replacement Car/Van service alongside their annual motor insurance policy.

The new service offers peace of mind to customers who rely on their car and would need a replacement should their own vehicle be stolen or damaged.  With two levels available, standard (14 days) and enhanced (28 days), customers benefit from a longer period with a replacement vehicle than the average policy.

Director of BGL's in-house brands, Andy Bord, said: "There is significant market demand for replacement cars and vans, as so many people are heavily reliant on their vehicle for both business and social purposes. Our focus is on attracting and retaining valuable customers. This new service perfectly complements the core policy and increases our value to the customer."

Customers are able to buy Guaranteed Replacement Car/Van as part of their purchase of annual car insurance via all BGL's sales channels - its direct websites, by telephone and via price comparison sites.  The service can also be bought at renewal or at any time within the term of car insurance cover. BGL Group also offers its customers Motor Legal Protection and Breakdown cover.

Andy Bord continued: "We want to make it clear to customers that the only way to be sure of having a replacement car in the event of an incident is to have this cover. Some motor repairers offer courtesy cars, and in a non-fault claim it's often possible to gain a temporary replacement vehicle - but if your car is stolen or if an incident is your fault, you are likely to be left without any form of transport. This new service will help keep our customers moving."
