Acer broadens range of WLED displays

In order to ensure a quality viewing experience without compromising user satisfaction, Acer expanded the environmentally friendly range of WLED monitors both in the Consumer and Professional line.

The Value and Business LCD diplays (V193HQL, V193WL, V243HL, B243HL), the S-series (S243HL), the P5 -series (P195HQL, P225HQLand) and the X3-series (X193HQL) now integrate the White LED technology to better confirm Acer efforts to offer greener products with lowest impact on the environment, while meeting user needs and offering outstanding functionalities.  

Furthermore, the displays that integrate White LED technology are environmental friendly because they don’t contain hazardous substances such as mercury or halogen gases. And compared to the traditional CCFL displays, WLED monitors can reduce power consumption up to 68%. This translates to big cost savings, while preserving nature’s energy resources.

LED lamp design offers several benefits, including greater efficiency, longer lifetime, lower energy consumption increased robustness making it difficult to damage with external shocks and smaller size that allows thinner designs, such as the S243HL, the slimmest 24" (61cm) in the market less than 15 mm thick.

Acer is fully aware of the potential impact its products may have on the environment and designs products that have minimal climate and environmental impact during their lifecycle. For this reason, Acer is committed to producing environmentally friendly monitors with WLED backlights, which are compliant with EPAT, RoHS and ENERGY STAR 5.0.
