Mamma Mia! The Movie, the smash hit of last year, is back in 2009 on a two disc special edition DVD. Out to own from 23rd November, the special edition is packed with loads of fabulous new extras, meaning there is something for everyone, whether you’re a first time viewer or a Mamma Mia! The Movie aficionado.

- 300,000 copies of Mamma Mia! The Movie sold in ASDA on day of release; at its peak the retail chain was selling 10 DVDs a second, with 15% of all its customers buying a copy

- In the United States the DVD made over $30 million on its first day of release and it is also the best selling DVD of all time in Sweden

- It is the highest grossing film of all time at the UK box office, generating £66 million and eclipsing previous record held by Titanic

- Mamma Mia! was seen, upon its launch, at the cinema by over 10 million people in the UK

- Worldwide, it has grossed a total of $609,841,637 making it the highest grossing movie musical of all time

- The film made $9,627,000 in its opening day in the United States and Canada

- The film won 9 awards worldwide, including best actress gongs for Meryl Streep at the National Movie Awards, the Rembrandt Awards and the Irish Film and Television Awards.  It received 13 other nominations including one for ‘Most Outstanding Film’ at the 2009 BAFTAs
