TAP and SATA expand code-share agreement

2nd December 2009 Print

TAP Portugal and SATA have stepped up a commercial cooperation by expanding their joint offer in new markets, with the same objective in mind - to promote the Azores and increase tourist flows to the region.

This closer cooperation involves widening the scope of the code-share agreement in effect between two companies since 2000, to cover a broader range of destinations in Europe.  This will result in better service and more benefits for customers, while contributing to raise visibility abroad of the unique features the Azores has to offer as a tourist destination.

The code-share agreement between the two companies now includes the new SATA routes Ponta Delgada/Copenhagen and Ponta Delgada/Stockholm, for which tickets will also be sold under a TAP code.

The TAP route Lisbon/Zurich will also now form part of the agreement, with the TAP flights on this connection also sold by SATA under the Azorean airline’s code.

In their efforts to meet customer expectations, both TAP and SATA will continue to work together and strengthen the links between their networks.
