New tradesman directory will help consumers avoid DIY disasters

Help is at hand for disheartened DIY enthusiasts, with the launch of email4property.co.uk’s new Local Tradesman tool, enabling homeowners to find reliable plumbers, electricians and other tradesmen operating in their local area.

Just by entering their postcode or local area, homeowners can access a directory of tradesmen who can help with home improvements, building, plumbing and electrical work.

As a result of the recession, many homeowners are taking the opportunity to add value to their property by undertaking their own home improvements. However, email4property.co.uk, the UK’s largest online network of estate agents, warns that this can lead to greater costs in the long run, if amateur DIY enthusiasts are tempted to take on more challenging tasks which then need to be ‘fixed’ by a professional.
