Citroen’s major What Van? Awards haul ends a year of LCV achievement for the Company. Citroen has continued its What Van? Awards success with the following prestigious honours - recognising the strength and depth of the Company’s LCV range.

Dispatch  - What Van? Small Panel Van of the Year
C-Crosser Enterprise - What Van? 4x4 Van of the Year
Ready to Run Programme - What Van? One-Stop-Shop Award
Nemo  - Highly Commended; Light Van of the Year
Relay    - Highly Commended; Minibus of the Year

Citroen Dispatch - What Van? Small Panel Van of the Year
The judges commented that the Citroen Dispatch could ‘shift’ a respectable amount of cargo by weight and volume, and yet does not take up too much space on the road, making it a popular choice with operators.  The judges also liked the Dispatch’s three-way load accessibility, the choice of short and long body formats, the high-roof option and the availability of platform-cab and Combi versions.  The Dispatch’s unique availability of near-across-the-board Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking, as well as the recently launched enhanced-traction XTR+ model, further set it apart from competition.

Citroen C-Crosser Enterprise - What Van? 4x4 Van of the Year
The judges commended the C-Crosser Enterprise 4x4 van for its combination of off-road and on-road ability, and its driver comfort.  With 156hp, the C-Crosser Enterprise’s 2.2HDi engine delivers a rewarding combination of performance and economy.  The judges also commented that the C-Crosser Enterprise is very well equipped, with ABS, EBD, traction-control and an active stability package as standard.  This 4x4 van also offers three-way accessibility to its 2.0cu.m load space and has a near three-quarter tonne payload, as well as a 2,000kg braked trailer towing capability.  All of this, the judges say, is available in a package that is a pleasure to drive and looks good on the road.

Citroen Ready to Run Programme - What Van? One-Stop-Shop Award
The judges commented that the breadth of choice offered by Citroen’s Ready to Run programme is unbeatable, thus meriting its continuing success in the What Van? Awards.  The competition-beating range of specialist conversions available in the Ready to Run programme includes:-

car transporters
dropside trucks
dual fuel (petrol/lpg) conversions
glass carriers
Luton vans
minibuses
temperature-controlled (chiller/freezer) vans
tippers

Robert Handyside, Citroen’s commercial vehicle operations manager, comments, “Citroen ends a year of achievement with yet more independent recognition - thanks to its huge success in the 2009 What Van? Awards.  With these accolades, Citroen’s LCV operation has, this year, scooped significantly more prestigious awards than ever before!”
