Strictly inspired holiday ideas

10th December 2009 Print

Those inspired by this year’s BBC Strictly Come Dancing celebrities should check out the selection of UK dance holidays which are new to the 2010 programme of HF Holidays, the UK’s largest walking and leisure activity holidays company.

For example, first-time dancers, recent novices and those with some experience can enjoy the magic of Tango on a new Buenos Aires Tango Weekender taking place at either Nythfa House near Brecon on 23 April (three nights) at a cost of £285 or Abingworth Hall in the South Downs on 9 October (two nights) for £189.

Or, mix the Afro-Caribbean beat with Latino music on a new three-night Latin American Dance Party Weekender – offering a flexible programme which is ideal for first-time dancers and those with some experience – at Larpool Hall near Whitby on 16 April at a cost of £285.

Alternatively, combine two dance styles on a new Beginners’ Ballroom and Tango short break at Abingworth Hall on 9 June at a cost of £279.  The Ballroom classes cover the basic steps of the Waltz, Quickstep, Social Foxtrot and the Cha-Cha-Cha whilst classic Argentinian Tango moves are learnt in the step-by-step Tango classes.

All prices are per person, twin-share, inclusive of full board accommodation, the holiday programme - morning and late afternoon sessions followed by social dancing in the evening – and the services of leaders.

HF Holidays’ houses operate as comfortable country house hotels with the emphasis on sociable fun and the dance sessions – combining small group classes and individual tuition – are great fun and lessons are always relaxed.
