Hiking in Corsica or photography in Paris?

Walking and cycling specialist, Belle France, has launched its 2010 brochure packed with a wealth of new itineraries including hiking in Corsica, plus unusual and buzzy special interest breaks such as photography in Paris under the guidance of a professional.

The seven-night ‘Captivating Corsica’ holiday – for the independent walker and available between April and October – follows shepherds’ trails and mule tracks through diverse and dramatic scenery of rugged cliffs, pine forest, waterfalls, deep gorges and small, sandy coves.

Highlights of the holiday, where walking is moderate - around seven miles per day and with some challenging sections – include the coastal town of Ajaccio, a scenic rail journey to Corte, the Niolu Valley in the heart of the Corsican mountains, the picturesque village of Evisa, the breathtaking Spelunca Gorge and the amazing rock formations at Calanche de Piana.

Twin share prices start at £965 per person inclusive of mainly half-board hotels, luggage transfers between hotels, plus detailed maps and notes. Direct flights are available from Gatwick to Ajaccio with Easyjet.

The company has also introduced new and exciting options in Paris including photography short breaks, under the personal guidance of an acclaimed American professional – Randy Harris - who is a resident of Paris.

Randy will guide guests to some of the best places to achieve stunning daytime and evening images and will be advised in advance about their camera, experience and preferred subject matter.

These three-night breaks are available between April and October and cost £819 per person (twin share) inclusive of return Eurostar travel from St Pancras, accommodation with breakfast at the small, charming Hotel Des Grandes Ecoles, dinner at a classic French restaurant and two three-hour photography sessions.
