Royal Mail issues Pink Floyd album cover stamps

On 7 January 2010, Pink Floyd’s ‘The Division Bell’ will be made available as a Royal Mail stamp, as part of the ‘Classic Album Covers’ stamp issue, featuring 10 classic covers.
Additionally, specifically for Pink Floyd fans, UK stamp dealer The Stamp Centre will be creating two limited-edition ‘First Day Covers’ featuring just ‘The Division Bell’. There will be a single stamp version and one that features ten ‘The Division Bell’ stamps.
The one-stamp edition includes a custom envelope with images from ‘The Division Bell’ album and will also feature a franking mark dated 7th January 2010 from Ely, Cambridgeshire, the place where the cover photograph for ‘The Division Bell’ was taken. On the reverse will be the limited edition number, a photo of the band, and album information.
The one-stamp version costs £5.99 (including UK postage), and the 10-stamp version costs £9.99 (including postage) from scificollectorshop.co.uk.
‘The Division Bell’ stamps will be available on their own for use as postage, and can be ordered as a strip of 5 (priced £1.95) from royalmail.com.
