Key West’s Marquesa Hotel named top US hotel

Readers of the American Condé Nast Traveler magazine recently chose Key West’s Marquesa Hotel to win the 2009 Readers Choice Award in the category of “Top Hotels: United States Small Hotels.”
The Marquesa is located on Fleming Street in the heart of Key West’s historic district. The small luxury hotel offers just 27 rooms, six private cottages, two swimming pools set in lush gardens and the 50-seat Café Marquesa.
The Readers Choice Awards were published in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler (US Edition), after readers had gauged their personal and recent travel experiences to rate every service crucial to travellers.
The Marquesa has won a number of other awards in recent years, including being named Florida’s Number 1 hotel in Travel & Leisure Magazine’s 2008 “Guide to the Best Hotels in the World.” In early 2009, it earned a spot on Condé Nast Traveler's "Gold List" of the world's 710 best places to stay, top hotels, resorts and cruise lines.
Rooms at the Marquesa are available from £206.00 per night in low season. For more information, visit marquesa.com.
