Scoring goals won’t be the only thing that impresses fans of the Ruthin Town Colts and Reserves when the players step onto the pitch in new kit fit for the premiership, courtesy of house builder Taylor Wimpey (formally Bryant Homes).

After hearing that their old training kit was in danger of relegation, Taylor Wimpey, which is building new homes at its Glasdir development, stepped in with a donation of £1000; covering the cost of new tracksuits and t shirts for the 30 plus squad.

Arwyn Jones, manager of the Ruthin Town Colts, said: “We’d like to say a huge thanks to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation. New kit is very expensive and as most of the players are still in full time education, would have taken us a while to save up for! Receiving £1000 has given both teams a fantastic confidence boost and the players can’t wait to show it off to their supporters.”

Jason Newton, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, adds: “We have been building new homes at Glasdir since 2008 and are always keen to support the local community wherever possible. The Club backs onto our development and when we heard about the players need for new kit we were only too happy to help. The team at Glasdir are hoping to get down to a couple of games to see the players in action.”

Glasdir is a beautiful development of three, four and five bedroom homes, set on the outskirts of Ruthin and surrounded by scenic countryside. All homes are finished to a very high standard and benefit from spacious living accommodation and en suite bathrooms - prices currently start from £182,450.

For further information visit the marketing suite and show homes, open Thursday to Monday from 10am – 5.30pm, or log onto taylorwimpey.co.uk/northwest.
