Plus size models have their cake and eat it

As women all over the country fight to shrink their shapes in the usual January diet frenzy, fuller figured brand Curvy Kate are celebrating the naturally curvy, plus size models used in their latest shoot with a delicious theme of Afternoon Tea, using an excess of scones and cakes to make for a mouthwatering collection.

Curvy Kate have created an eclectic range of gorgeous fuller figured bras; paying particular attention to comfort and fit, designed uniquely to compliment and support a heavier bust. The new AW10 collection strengthens Curvy Kate’s commitment to celebrate all kinds of beauty, with Lauren, Daisy and Laura flaunting gorgeous E – GG cup curves, as well as dress sizes from a 10 – 16.

Laura Butler, a teacher from Birmingham has modelled with the brand since their launch in July 2009. “My weight varies from month to month and so does my bust. I’m happy and confident with my shape though and have always wanted to model lingerie but was held back because of my larger bust and hips. There are so many different shapes around today though, so how can one shape be the ‘norm’. All the girls I work with for Curvy Kate are different sizes, shapes and looks but it seems that this makes for an even better shot. There is someone for every customer to relate to.’

Already listed in international mail order company Simply Yours, Big Bra retailer Bravissimo and now in over 100 stores throughout the UK, Europe and 10 stores Worldwide, the brand has reacted to the fitting revolution of the last two years. Women are becoming more aware of their correct bra size but bigger brands are still slow in catering for the fuller figured woman.

The AW10 collection includes a mix of pretty everyday bras and bras that’ll certainly put you in the spotlight. Winter Warming colours include vivid raspberry, vibrant cobalt, chilli red and a seductive emerald to really make for a dazzling collection.
