A picture perfect home in Marlborough

Buying a brand new home can often help homebuyers to feel more confident about the quality of their purchase. With the added luxury of new fixtures and fittings throughout, it’s not surprising that buyers feel house proud.
One such couple – Georgina (28) and Daniel Green (30) – are so pleased with their four bedroom house that they are allowing it to be used as an additional show home at Crest Nicholson’s Marlborough development, St John’s Park.
“When Daniel and I were looking for a house, we decided to bring my dad along for some extra advice - he used to be a property manager so he knows what he’s talking about. Daniel and I instantly fell for the property and even my dad was very impressed with its quality,” explained Georgina. “There have been a few viewings at our home now and we’ve even had some people mistakenly think it’s the actual show home!
“The location is perfect for both of us as it’s near to work and we like being close to town. We chose St John’s Park because it provides a great balance between town life and the countryside – the view from our house is Savernake Forest and we often see deer in the fields. It’s really quite special. I’ve even given up membership at the gym because I prefer running through Grand Avenue.”
Situated to the east of the town centre, St John’s Park comprises 169 traditionally designed homes including three, four and five bedroom houses. As Marlborough is located halfway between London and Bristol the town has excellent transport links to the M4. Buyers are also conveniently located for the nearby train station, dentist, medical practice and various schools.
Originally from the area, Georgina and Daniel had moved to Calne five years ago to get their foot on the property ladder. After five years away from family and friends, they decided it was time to move back and invest in a property more suited to their needs.
“Our home is much better than the town house we had in Calne not least because it has more space. The kitchen and lounge are large and the built-in storage space is really useful. In our previous house, we didn’t have cupboards which meant we couldn’t even stowaway things like our ironing board,” said Georgina.
“The sales team has been fantastic throughout the buying process and beyond. Jennie has been particularly helpful and is a real credit to the team - she has gone above and beyond our expectations, even after we had completed. We’re just pleased we’ve been able to give something back to them by opening up our home to potential buyers.”
Prices at St John’s Park start from £274,950 for a four bedroom home. For more information about the properties available at St John’s Park, call into the on site Sales and Marketing Suite, which is open daily from 10am – 5pm or log on to crestnicholson.com.
