Independent tour operator, Prestige Holidays, has launched its 2010 Isles of Scilly programme featuring breaks to St Mary’s, St Martin’s, Bryher, St Agnes and Tresco.

Packages lead in at just £294 per person for a three night stay in Annet cottage on St Mary’s including: accommodation in a double room with breakfast, return flights from Land’s End and taxi transfers.

A new property for 2010 is the Old Town Inn in St Mary’s, located just a 15 minute walk from Hugh Town and just 200 yards from Old Town Beach. The Inn has three very spacious four star rooms including one that sleeps a family of four. A three night stay with breakfast, flights and transfers starts from £297 per person.

David Nash, Deputy Managing Director, Prestige Holidays, comments: “The Isles of Scilly sold fantastically last year – in fact we saw a year on year growth of 140%. The islands are already booking well for this year so I am confident we will see further growth to the destination in 2010.

“Part of appeal of the Isles of Scilly is their nostalgic quality. They offer all the traditional pursuits that people look for in a British holiday but with warmer weather and a more exotic backdrop.”

Other properties that Prestige is featuring on St Mary’s are St Mary’s Hall, the Atlantic, Star Castle, Tregarthen’s, Schooners and Bell Rock. The “Off” islands of St Martin’s, St Agnes, Tresco, Bryher are just a short hop by boat from St Mary’s.

In St Martin’s, the operator is featuring the renowned St Martin’s on the Isle Hotel. Built to resemble a cluster of granite cottages, the 30 roomed hotel has its own quay and faces deserted white sand beaches.

The hotel also features an indoor pool and was awarded a Michelin Star for its formal dining restaurant, Tean. A three night stay starts from £639 per person based on two people sharing a twin/double room on a half board basis with flights from Lands End to St Mary’s.

Prestige Holidays is offering the Hell Bay hotel on Bryher. Named after the notorious Hell Bay known for its breathtaking views and crashing seas, this property with its extensive private grounds is the perfect “get away from it all” location.

The only hotel on the island it has just 17 rooms, a superb restaurant, bar and children’s play room. A three night stay leads in at £635 per person based on two people sharing a studio suite on half board with flights from Lands End to St Mary’s.

Prestige Holidays can also arrange guest house accommodation on St Agnes, the smallest of the inhabited isles and a haven for rare birds and wildlife.

Travellers to Tresco can choose from the New Inn, the Island Hotel, The Flying Boat Club and a selection of self catering holiday cottages. A week’s stay in a three bed roomed cottage in the Flying Boat Club starts from £440 per person based on six sharing. The price includes return helicopter flights from Penzance to Tresco. Stays also include Flying Boat Club membership comprising use of the bar, gardens, restaurant, swimming pool, gym, treatment rooms, free golf on St Mary’s nine hole course and entrance to the glorious Abbey Gardens.

The Isles of Scilly with their warm climate, beautiful gardens, empty white sandy beaches, turquoise seas, nature trails and great food have something for couples, singles and families on a short break or main summer holiday.

The islands can be accessed by flights from Land’s End, Newquay, Exeter, Bristol and Southampton or by helicopter or boat from Penzance.
