Heading South and taking your accommodation with you!

With some 620,000 caravan owners across Britain, AA has launched Caravan Insurance to keep their on-road accommodation covered through to next year’s Bank Holiday season.

Even the most experienced caravanners – famously including the Foreign Secretary, the Rt. Hon Margaret Beckett MP – know the importance of proper cover for caravan and towing vehicles when on their travels.

“Upturned caravans, branch-shaped dents and contents scattered down the M4 are just some of the claims made by Britain’s caravanners, but the most common mistake is not checking for cover in mainland Europe,” explains Gerry Barrett, head of caravan insurance.

“AA Caravan Insurance offers European or worldwide cover and ‘new for old’ policy so should the unthinkable happen you can rest assured your home away from home is fully covered, wherever that may be,” he says.

Look after your caravan and your insurance premiums will stay low too – AA Caravan Insurance offers discounts for security features, tracking devices and your no claims bonus.

“It’s a competitive market with several players but there’s more to insurance than price,” says Gerry. “Check that the cover is what you need then you can sleep easy – whether you’re tucked up in your caravan in sunny France or at home, knowing your investment is safely tucked up, too.”
