56-plate new models are available with substantial discounts

21st August 2006 Print
Motorists looking for a new car this September can save more money than ever according to online car broker Drivethedeal.com.

New models that have only been around in the market for just a few weeks are already available with a discount from Drivethedeal.com, reinforcing that it’s a buyer’s market in the run up to the new 56-plate.

New 170bhp diesel versions of the VW Golf and Passat come with a saving of more than £2,000.

The very popular brand new Toyota Aygo has list price savings of 9%, while discounts of nearly £2,000 are available on the diesel Lexus IS220.

Discounts of over £2,500 are now widespread on BMWs, while drivers can save more than £1,500 off a new Mazda MX5 (and receive a free hard top into the bargain).

“In our ten years of selling cars, we can now offer discounts on new models quicker than ever simply because car sales in the market generally have been faltering,” explained Richard Sanders, managing director of Drivethedeal.com

“Imagine buying a convertible in the middle of summer and receiving a discount that is greater than was available last winter,” he added.
