bf1systems and Cosworth renew partnership for DigiTyre products

Cosworth, a leading supplier of high performance motorsport technologies, is pleased to announce the continuation of its partnership with bf1systems for exclusive distribution and ongoing support of bf1systems’ world-renowned DigiTyre products in the USA. The renewed agreement now includes the new Infra Red Tyre Pressure and Temperature Monitoring System, which utilises infra-red elements built into the wheel sensors to give engineers the most accurate tyre carcass temperature data.

Cosworth is also pleased to announce a new worldwide distribution and support contract with bf1systems that will allow Cosworth to offer DigiTyre products to its motorsport customers worldwide. This agreement will run in parallel with direct distribution from bf1systems and offers Cosworth’s customers a single order point and support contact for all their on-car electronics. bf1systems’ DigiTyre range is now available from Cosworth’s electronics division along with a comprehensive range of state of the art data acquisition and control solutions marketed under the Pi Research and Pectel Control Systems brands.

“With race teams finding it harder to raise funding, we as suppliers, recognise that we need to work harder and think smarter in order to maintain our customer relationships,” says bf1systems’ managing director John Bailey. “The decision to renew our partnership with Cosworth illustrates how two key suppliers to the motorsport industry can work together offering teams high quality equipment, coupled with direct and professional engineering support, at affordable levels. We are delighted to see the relationship continue and expect to do more things in the future as our partnership grows and strengthens.”

“This renewed partnership is an important one for both businesses,” says Martin Tolliday, Cosworth’s director of motorsport electronics. “bf1systems’ DigiTyre range has proved a major success with teams in the IndyCar and NASCAR Series. The latest infra red system provides accurate tyre carcass temperature data alongside pressures and I’m very pleased that Cosworth is able to offer this to all our customers around the world.”
